1. Summary
Our website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or marketing services and, with one exception, does not load content from third-party servers: the online reception (ordering prescriptions, referrals and therapy prescriptions) is loaded from the server of our service provider arzt-direkt when you open the page (section 7). Online appointment booking only opens when you click the link. Fonts and images are stored on our own server. Visiting the website only generates the technically necessary server log data (see section 4).

4. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by filterVERLAG (www.filterverlag.de), with whom we have concluded a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. When you open the website, your browser automatically transmits data that the server logs for a short time:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of the request
- requested file and access status
- page from which you visit us (referrer)
- browser and operating system used
- amount of data transferred
This processing serves to deliver the website, keep it stable and defend against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is only stored for as long as necessary for these purposes and is then deleted or anonymised. We ourselves do not store any visitor data on the website. The data is not combined with other data sources.
5. No cookies, no tracking
We ourselves do not store any information on your device and do not read any such information. For the online reception, which is provided by our service provider arzt-direkt, see section 7. No usage statistics are created and no data is passed on to advertising or analytics providers. The image gallery on the home page and the “open now” display run entirely in your browser and do not transmit anything.
6. Contacting us by phone or e-mail
If you contact us, we process your details in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (treatment contract, pre-contractual enquiries) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering general enquiries). We process health data in the context of treatment under Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR. We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless there are statutory retention obligations, for example for medical records.
Digital phone assistant (Vitas): Phone enquiries are taken by our digital phone assistant Vitas. Your spoken information, your phone number and the content you mention (for example name, request, possibly health data) are processed and passed on to our practice. Provider and further privacy information: www.telefonassistent.de; we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider under Art. 28 GDPR. You will also hear a notice in the announcement when you call. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR.
Please note: unencrypted e-mails can be read in transit. Please do not send us any health data by e-mail.
7. Online appointment booking and online reception
Our website offers online appointment booking and an online reception (tomedo / arzt-direkt, server at app.arzt-direkt.de). Online appointment booking only opens when you click the link; you then leave our website. The online reception is loaded automatically when you open our pages. Your browser then connects to the service’s server, transmitting at least your IP address (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in convenient online ordering). The data you enter there, for example your name, contact details, request and possibly health data, is processed by the service and passed on to our practice. The provider is zollsoft GmbH (Jena), maker of arzt-direkt and of tomedo, our practice software. Privacy information: arzt-direkt.de/patienteninfos/datenschutz-patientendaten (in German). According to the provider, no marketing or advertising cookies are used there. We process the data to organise your appointment and your treatment (Art. 6(1)(b), Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR).
8. External links
We link to Google Maps (directions). A connection to this provider is only made when you click the link. Its privacy policy then applies.
On the careers page you can watch our practice video. It is hosted on YouTube (Google). The video is only loaded when you click “Play video” and thereby give your consent; before that there is no connection to YouTube. We use the enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com). After the click, at least your IP address is transmitted to YouTube, and YouTube may store or read information on your device. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25 TDDDG). The privacy policy of Google/YouTube applies. If you do not consent, you can open the video via the link “watch it directly on YouTube”.
9. Security
The connection between your browser and our website is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. Please contact us or our data protection officer.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
