About our practice

Dear patient,

this page gives you a short overview of how our practice is organised.

We work both as specialists (internal medicine/rheumatology, non-surgical orthopaedics) and as family doctors (general practice). This means you can also be treated by us without a referral.

Our multidisciplinary group practice works by appointment: as a rule, every patient has booked an appointment with our reception. When you book, you decide yourself which of our 6 doctors examines and treats you. Our staff will be happy to help you with this.

Urgent or emergency rheumatology appointments are usually arranged after a personal discussion with one of our doctors. We ask that mainly acute cases are referred, i.e. cases that look like acute polyarthritis or where there is a well-founded suspicion of an inflammatory rheumatic systemic disease.

Even after the end of the coronavirus pandemic, we want to prevent immunosuppressed (rheumatology) patients from catching infections in our practice. We have therefore set up an infection clinic within our opening hours, in the morning from 11 am to 12 noon (Fridays from 11 am to 1 pm) and in the afternoon from 5 pm to 6 pm (Tuesdays from 3 pm to 4 pm), in which the doctor on duty treats all patients with infections. Please always wear a medical mask, preferably an FFP2 mask, at these times.

We are aware that it can sometimes be difficult to reach us by phone. At peak times in the early morning and afternoon, several members of staff are assigned to answer the phone. Our digital phone assistant Vitas takes your requests. Even if your request does not fit one of the categories (appointment / prescription / lab results), you can simply ask for a call back by giving your name. We almost always manage to get back to you within 30 minutes. You can also avoid longer waiting times on the phone by sending us a short message through our online reception. We process these messages after the morning and evening consultation hours, so that you can collect the prescriptions (no prescriptions for therapies such as physiotherapy) and referrals you ordered at the next consultation hours. Appointments can be made in person, by phone or online.

Please do not hesitate to tell one of the practice owners about unusually long waiting times or about difficulties reaching us by phone. This helps us to detect technical or other problems early and to improve our service for you. Emergencies of any kind are of course treated as quickly as possible. Such urgent cases have to be shared out fairly evenly among the treating doctors. Thank you very much for your understanding and your help.
